In this role, you will:
We are seeking an experienced Process Technical Lead to oversee the make side of a mid-size manufacturing plant. The Process Technical Lead will be responsible for maintaining a high level of performance from the process department, and its team, by means of managing material and laboratory inventories, maintenance issues, engineering projects, training, documentation, and upholding the four non-negotiables of safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping. In this role you will:
Adhere to plant policies while keeping safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations as top priority. This includes but is not limited to:
Conducting GEMBA walks and reporting safety incidents
Auditing quality systems and ensuring documented processes are followed as per the company standards
Collecting water samples from production sources and tracking associated data
Management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste with EHS assistance
Monitor and report out key process indicators in daily production meetings
Coordinate with contractor services and plant engineering to implement successful capital projects
Understand and work within the departmental budget to fuel purchasing decisions
Function as the subject matter expert in the Process Department and provide direct production support when needed
Expand processing capability on each shift by facilitating training, managing documentation, and keeping proper records
Manage raw material inventory, chemical storage, and bulk deliveries
Maintain equipment and facilities through preventative maintenance and clean, inspect, and lubricate (CIL) programs. This includes but is not limited to:
Writing work orders
Building and assigning operator standard work
Developing new planned maintenance activities
Own the process laboratory. This includes but is not limited to:
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization following standard storage and handling practices. Execute proper chemical disposal as needed.
Schedule regular service and emergency maintenance for all scales and analytical instruments
Maintain consumable items and chemical inventory. Purchase restock items when needed.
Retain product samples according to company standards
Coach plant personnel on troubleshooting methods, provide root cause analysis when problems arise, and escalate those problems appropriately
What we look for:
Minimum qualifications:
3+ years of processing experience
Leadership experience in a plant setting
Moderate computer skills
Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive, PowerBI etc.
Enterprise resource planning tools (ERP) – SAP, Oracle, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with all members of plant personnel
Capable of effectively managing time and assigning priority to work
Flexibility to accommodate overtime (days or weekends) or schedule changes due to business needs
Ability to travel as required for training and development
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

8-hour shift: Monday - Friday
