The Sub Same Day Distribution Center (SSD DC) Ops Integration team is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands on and customer obsessed Process Engineer to support the expansion of SSD DC network. As a member of the SSD DC Ops Integration team, the individual will be responsible for producing and refining process standards, building on current best practices for physical infrastructure and designing operational equipment that is used across the network and beyond. Infrastructure you develop will always be produced to meet safety, customer experience, capacity, quality and cost goals. The core process infrastructure ownership of this role spans DC Under-the-Roof (UTR) operations.This position requires robust understanding of fulfillment operations, deep customer focus, strong autonomy and exceptional project management skills. It will involve regular communication with DC operations and the other stakeholders, and require you to be detail-oriented and comfortable partnering across functional business and technical teams. To be successful in this role, you need to pair strong analytical skills and a data-driven outlook with strong intuition.Key job responsibilities* Provide process expertise on engineering design defining material flow, conveyor positioning, equipment requirements and real estate implications from process requirement* Responsible for new expansion, retrofit, process improvement initiatives and opportunities at the project level to support associate safety, quality, productivity, and the capacity increase for DCs* Author reports to document project status and changes, communicate project outputs to senior leaders and track metrics to identify areas of improvement* Develop and optimize existing processes from concept to deployment to implement solutions for recurring process issues and improvement projects* Lead continuous process and design benchmark initiatives and conduct deep dive benchmark studies* Lead strategic initiatives and identify project opportunities to improve the processes and designs, engaging and influencing their key stakeholders*Travel up to 25%We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USA* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industrial and operations background.* 3+ years experience in a similar engineering role (Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, etc.)* Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma* Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL* Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements* Project Management skills* MBA or Master's in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation* Certified Black Belt or Green Belt.* Advanced data analysis skills and an expert in using supporting tools e.g. Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, MS Access, SQL* Knowledge and ability to use standard development tools e.g. AutoCAD.* High level of written, verbal and interpersonal skillsOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $133,800/year in our highest geographic market.
