JOB REQUIREMENTS: Process Control & Instrumentation Specialist (PC&IS) -1365 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: SCOPE The person filling thisposition performs corrective, predictive, and preventive electrical,mechanical, power and control maintenance for equipment, machinery, andfacility utilities. He/she will assist engineering projects, participatein new equipment commissioning, maintain PLC/HMI/VFD/Servo Driveprograms & parameter files, and be the primary person for diagnosingequipment failures related to PLC controlled assets. PLC and/or HMIprogramming modifications will be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. *He/she performs work in accordance with proper electrical installationand troubleshooting techniques, and insures work is performed incompliance with guidelines and requirements established by the governingbodies locally and nationally recognized. * He/she reviewsmanufacturers\' service manuals, usage schedules, and records ofelectrical maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency ofpreventive maintenance. * He/she is responsible on their assignedshift, for electrical/mechanical projects, repairs, upgrades, andtroubleshooting via PLC controlled systems. * He/she will participateinwriting Lockout Tagout procedures, Job Safety Analysis, Risk Analysis,Work Standards, Testing Procedures, and provide safety training forexisting, new, and upgraded equipment. * He/she estimates costs ofparts/supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance and providesinput on parts deemed necessary to be kept on hand as spares. * He/shemaintains records of planned and completed maintenance within the CMMS.* He/she facilitates electro/mechanical repairs as required on allproduction and utility related equipment. * He/she meets daily with theassigned Group Leader to discuss assignments, Work Orders, and PM needs.* He/she identifies necessary training needs and participates incoaching to further develop all members of the team.
