Ford is investing $5.6 billion to build its state-of-the art manufacturing facilities at Blue Oval City in West Tennessee. The Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center (TEVC) will produce the next generation electric trucks, with production beginning in 2025. In this position ;
You will be part of a team responsible to drive and manage the Paint Sealer Processes You’ll utilize engineering principles to problem solve, support a team overseeing and optimizing the paint sealer operations and manage methodologies for continuous improvement at the Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center (TEVC).What You'll do.....
Process Improvement: Identify areas in the paint sealer process that can be enhanced for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Training and Development: Training, mentoring, and motivating team members in coordination, prepping, application and analyzing of Sealer processes. (manual & automated)
Quality Control: Ensure that pretreated vehicles or products meet the specified quality and safety standards. (Quality Operating System is followed)
Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect employees and the environment while working with paints and chemicals. Ensure that all required Safety & PPE mandates are followed, and hazardous materials are disposed per regulations.
Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and maintain paint sealer application systems/tools /equipment to ensure all function correctly ( dosing, filter, conveyor systems, tools on the vehicle, skids, sealer guns/nozzles, sealer robots…)
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to paint sealer processes to make data-driven decisions for improvements.
Inventory Management: Keep track of sealer, nozzles, industrial materials used for production as wipes,gloves , sanding paper etc.… supply inventory to ensure an uninterrupted workflow.
Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers, other areas as Bodyshop and other departments in paint as production, quality control, and maintenance to coordinate processes and address issues.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on process performance, improvements, and areas for development to management.
Problem-Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise in the paint sealer process and develop solutions.
Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all environmental and safety regulations related to paint and chemicals are adhered to.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in the field of paint sealer processes for continual improvement.
You'll have.....
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work weekends, rotating shifts, and holidays while remaining flexible to support a four-shift Manufacturing/Maintenance operation.
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing and/or automotive manufacturing environment.

Bachelor's degree in engineering is highly preferred.
5+ years in an automotive or manufacturing leadership role is highly preferred.
Management or supervisory experience is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of paint production processes, pretreatment (PT&EC), chemical coatings, coated body inspection, manual and automated sealer applications, corrosion rheology, and sealer application equipment, such as manual guns and automated robots.
Knowledge and understanding of the use, maintenance, and cleaning of various hand tools, sealer guns/ nozzles, conveyor, and pump systems.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experienced in process optimization and cost reduction.
Understanding of environmental and safety requirements
Ability to achieve and maintain 5S working standards
