JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ability to perform all assigned Radiology duties inaccordance with Memorial Hospital standards, policies and procedures,under the supervision of the Radiologist and/or Radiology SupervisorAbility to assist with and perform x-rays with fixed or portableequipment in the department, patient rooms, operating/recovery suiteand/or ER Ability to transport patients to the radiology department, andreturn them to their designated area following their examinationsAbility to check the quality of the x-ray taken and repeat the processif necessary and/or requested by the Radiologist Ability to assist theRadiologist and/or other technologists with radiographic & fluoroscopicprocedures as necessary Ability to organize the daily workload and QCAbility to clean equipment as scheduled Ability to inspect equipment forneeded repairs and report to appropriate personnel Ability to operateall x-ray equipment such as radiographic and fluoroscopic machines, CT,mammography unit, bone densitometry, DR, CR, PACS, and otherradiographic equipment Ability to coordinate the mobile service exams;ultrasound, nuclear medicine, MRI and peripheral vascular Ability toperform clerical & clinical duties relative to the position; obtainprior images and reports as requested, answer the phone, providenecessary information or relay messages, schedule patients needingappointments Ability to perform all other Radiology related duties asassigned Ability to perform all x-ray examinations; correct positioning,proper techniques, processing procedure, medical terminology, and allradiation and health safety regulations Ability to perform job functionsof the Radiologic Technologist position Ability to perform job dutieswith a high degree of mental application to ensure patient welfare andradiation protection Ability to follow the Memorial Hospital Code ofConduct, and also the Confidentiality and Information Access AgreementAbility to perform job duties while keeping the needs of the patienttheir main priority ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Currentin all Required Course & Continuing Education Requirements of ARRTVaried activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, andlifting. Requires full range of motion including handling and liftingpatients, manual finger dexterity, and eyehand coordination. Requiresstanding and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires occasionallifting and carrying items of up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected visionand hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditionsand working flexible hours. Self-motivated; ability to organize andprioritize well. Ability to remain flexible and to reorganize prioritieswhen emergencies arise. Requires a significant level of trust anddiplomacy, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Requires extensivepersonal contact with others, with excellent communication skills.Requires personal contact with others inside and/or outside MemorialHospital, to communicate pertinent patient information.
