The Team:
HP is revolutionizing the way our customers experience and use our products and the way HP is doing business. We are seeking a Privacy Specialist Intern to support privacy efforts across consumer services and Print software to ensure regulatory implementation. The intern will support and respond to privacy requests to align Privacy by Design principles at the earliest stages in development. The role will make sure that the analysis and actions the business chooses with data meet established regulatory compliance needs. This role will support new use of data through reviews and initiatives in the areas of privacy, data protection, governance, and security within the Print business unit.
The Privacy Specialist Intern will be responsible for interacting with Software, Governance and Data Protection teams. The role will also include responsibility for implementing requirements and processes to ensure HP’s high ethical standards are met throughout the data use lifecycle. Additional work may be required in conducting data privacy impact assessments.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to consumer services and Print software inquiries around relevant privacy processes, policy, and issues
Collaborate with peers as well as with cross-functional internal and external teams, including legal, to ensure regulatory compliance
Education and Experience Required
Currently enrolled in a four-year college and returning to school following the internship.
Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2024, and not require sponsorship in the future.
Knowledge of industry standards for data privacy
Preferred Majors:
Aspiring Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related Data Privacy education and experience
Preferred Knowledge and Skills :
Intermediate skills with Microsoft tools like PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Good work ethic and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team atmosphere
Good communication skills (verbally and written)
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $21.00-- $38.00 hourly . Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
