  The Opportunity

  We are currently searching for a talented and driven individual to join our MBPS Actuarial Function as an Actuarial Senior Analyst. Established in 2012, the team has become an actuarial center of excellence, with over 160 staff and growing, along with increasing range and ownership of deliverables, specializing in Valuation, Liability and Asset Modelling, Experience Analytics, Pricing, and more.

  We are looking for someone with:

  Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field

  At least 5 years of actuarial work experience in Insurance or Financial Services

  Significant progress towards attaining an Associate designation in any recognized actuarial organization.

  Strong interest in developing knowledge of actuarial operations, policies and standards

  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various levels of the organization

  Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations and explain technical matters to general audience

  Results oriented; ability to manage competing priorities and projects

  Fluent verbal and written English

  Experience in actuarial processes such as reserves and capital valuation, business plan, experience study, product development and pricing, embedded value calculation, asset-liability management, par dividend management, risk management, or reinsurance is a plus

  Knowledge in AXIS actuarial software, Python programming, Agile project management, data analytics, IFRS or Asia local financial reporting methodology is a plus

  Proficiency in Asia language(s) is a plus

  Overseas travel might be required

  On the job you will:

  Execute the audit plan including assurance (key risk audit, key risk review, emerging risk review, defined procedures, SOX), and advisory (consulting service)

  Understand key risks in the actuarial business units, ensure audit focus on the key risks, and conclude the effectiveness of internal controls through audit testing

  Build relationships with actuarial business units, Group Finance Actuarial, Product Risk Management, Regional Actuarial Services, Actuarial Shared Service Centers, external auditors, and other internal auditors
