Amazon is looking for a passionate, talented, and well organized Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help build retail technology products. The TPM will be responsible for the product development life cycle and will work with large teams of 60+ engineers and product managers.
The right candidate for this role is someone who has both a strong technical background, and either technical management or program/product management background. You must be comfortable working with both service-oriented architectures, and large, complex data sets. You must have a diverse set of unblocking tools and mechanisms, resulting in an ability to cultivate relationships and earn trust with teams both inside and outside of your overall organization. You must be able to thrive in both start-up and more mature business environments, be truth seeking, and be willing to not only operate strategically, but be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done yourself. A Technical Program Manager (TPM) will partner with engineers, other TPMs, Product Managers and senior management to help create world-class solutions. Key job responsibilities
· Manage and support multiple programs across the organization.
· Establish and track goals, metrics, and indicators for success.
· Create and send program updates.
· Actively engage with partner teams (Engineering, Product) to ensure projects deliver the best results.
· Evaluate benefits and risks of projects and determine next steps.
· Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Product Managers and developers to execute product vision.
· Act as escalation support for various internal teams.
About the team
The Customer Fulfillment team works on technologies that enable customers to be delighted with their delivery experience. This ranges from products built to support faster speeds (same day, next day), delivery feedback, improved customer delivery information and customer returns experience.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of technical product or program management experience
10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
7+ years of technical program management experience
5+ years of software development experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
