Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop technical product vision and strategy by understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Define and prioritize the technical product roadmap by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business, architecture, UX, and other product managers. Guide product development by defining and communicating detailed software product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Ensure technical product viability, desirability, and alignment with business goals by establishing success criteria and monitoring product performance. Work closely with Architecture and Engineering on technical design and to identify and manage critical dependencies. Support trade-off discussions, negotiations, and alignment on feature prioritization, technical solutions, and timing with stakeholders. Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience throughout the product lifecycle. Participate in sprint planning and support feature refinement, addressing questions and providing guidance as needed.
Act as a subject matter expert and acknowledged authority within the organization for assigned product(s) or product line(s). This career step is assigned the most complex products or product lines. Considered a subject matter expert. Experience leading initiatives that span multiple technical product lines or platforms, mentoring less experienced product managers, and working closely with leadership to shape their org's overall technical product strategy. Writes features and sets the direction for a group of teams OR writes epics and stories and sets the direction for multiple groups of teams.
This role will primarily be on products that the Smart Home Manager team supports. The SHM Product team supports 3 scrum teams developing different parts of the SHM and Cell Booster applications and the Cell Booster website. These applications are a critical tool used for automated customer support from customer equipment self-installations and extensive troubleshooting functionality.
Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View :
Develop and execute the SHM and Cell Booster native app strategy ensuring that those apps are aligned with company goals.
Work with other product mangers on those apps as well as with other AT&T apps including the myAT&T application.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing to ensure seamless product delivery.
Attend daily scrums to answer any questions that come up by developers and QA who would be working on your items.
Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, internal customer stakeholders, and market research.
Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps to communicate progress and align with key stakeholders.
Analyze key performance indicators to measure app success and identify areas of improvement.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive app adoption and user satisfaction.
Qualifications:
At least 8-10+ years in a Product Management role.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A good balance in technical savviness and business acumen with an ability to dive into the details as well as having a broad strategic thinking.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify and act on trends and opportunities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information to diverse audiences.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at various levels within an organization.
Extremely important to understand the complexities of software development and the day-to-day activities/needs of software developers and testers.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and product management tools. Knowing when to follow the process and when to work around the processes in paramount.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, but also with other product members, as well as developers and testers is a necessity.
Our Principal Tech Product Mgr earns between $ 141,300.00 - $211,900.00 USD
