Description

　　This position functions as a collaborative and participative member of an interdisciplinary team, consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Interventional platform at Issaquah Hospital and Swedish Medical Center. All functions are under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse throughout Perioperative and Interventional Services.

　　Assists in the delivery of patient care and the efficient and timely movement of patients. Responsible for performing general secretarial and clerical duties in the patient care areas. Interacts with patients, families and physicians and acts as a liaison among members of the health care team, patients and families. Assists the nursing staff in coordinating the activity of the unit. Oversees the orderliness of work areas and orders forms and other clerical supplies. Assists procedural staff with patient care including transportation, supplies, equipment, instruments, and care of the environment. Assists with the preparation and turnover of patient care areas including procedural suites.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　Experience must include one of the following:

　　Six months of non-acute clinical care experience.

　　One year of skilled nursing experience.

　　Non-acute clinical care or skilled experience will be waived if the applicant has demonstrated experience involving customer service in healthcare or other related industry and completion of an acute care NAC course.

　　Non-acute clinical care or skilled experience will be waived for students currently enrolled and in good standing at a traditional registered nursing program approved by the Nursing Quality Care Commission. At a minimum, satisfactory completion of one academic term (quarter or semester) that included clinical patient care experience.

　　Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License.

　　Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
