Location:
This position may be assigned to any Consumers Energy Service Center located throughout Michigan's lower peninsula. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).
We are looking for: Principal System Protection Engineer (NERC Compliance Engineer)
The Principal System Protection Engineer is part of a highly specialized team of System Protection Engineers in the application of protective devices. The Principal System Protection Engineer requires extensive electrical expertise for defining and administering system protection philosophies, standards, and application criteria for devices used to isolate faults, safeguard people and equipment, and improve reliability on Consumers Energy's electric system. This position requires a broad knowledge of many aspects of electric distribution activities including system protection, design standards, planning, budget, operations, regulatory compliance, and customer needs.
