　　Join the Publix Technology Team as a Principal Software Engineer on our Pharmacy Core Application Services Team where you will be part of a fast-paced team leveraging both Java and .Net, to support Pharmacy Operations. You will be responsible for playing a key role in implementing new and complex systems, analyzing production problems, building tools to automate support processes, and monitoring the health of both the on-premise and container based hosting environments. The most suitable hire for this position will be a technical candidate with strong analytical, planning, problem solving, mentoring, writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, technology vendors, and business partners.

　　As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience

　　9+ years of software engineering experience

　　9+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting complex applications in an enterprise environment

　　9+ years of experience in analyzing complex business problems or processes and translating business requirements into technology solutions considering performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership

　　9+ combined years of experience with Java and C# object-oriented programming languages

　　5+ years of experience with Oracle or other SQL databases including database design and authoring complex queries

　　Experience implementing software using Docker or other containerization technologies

　　Experience planning and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-distributed environment

　　Experience with event-based and micro-service style architecture

　　Experience leading a development team in Agile Scrum

　　Experience with troubleshooting complex applications and performing root cause analysis

　　Participate in 24x7 production support rotation

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　10 years of software engineering experience

　　3+ years of experience implementing container orchestration technology in a production environment (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker Swarm, or similar)

　　3+ years of experience in a development leadership or mentorship role

　　Experience designing and developing versioned RESTful APIs

　　Experience using Git as a source control system.

　　Experience in an agile scrum environment, leading developers, and working closely with business partners
