  Job Description

  Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a world class engineering center with the focus on excellence.

  Responsibilities

  As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Application Platform’s UX Platform. These are Oracle Health’s UX frameworks for creating web applications that meet Oracle’s exacting UX design standards. These frameworks are more than component libraries and provide widget-based layouts where both internal and external developers can create widgets that are assembled into clinical workflows. These frameworks have millions of daily users. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical skill set and have experience with SDK development, service development, and public cloud providers. In addition, they will be capable of performance tuning web applications and be familiar with observability tools and practices.

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

  7 – 12 years of professional software development experience.

  Deep expertise in JavaScript development.

  Deep expertise building single page applications. React experience is a plus.

  Experience with cross-browser testing using selenium. WDIO experience is a plus.

  Experience with CI/CD tools.

  Full stack development experience, with experience building web services and public cloud providers.

  Strong REST API design skills.

  Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences.

  Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment.

  Strong design skills for building secure, highly scalable, and extensible systems.

  Experience providing technical leadership to cross-functional teams.

  The Application Platform group in Oracle Health & Infrastructure is looking for full stack developers with expertise and passion for building user interfaces that will exceed their expectations. The Application Platform group is focused on creating an ecosystem of UX SDKs, frameworks and services that are used by thousands of developers across Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure tackling some of today’s biggest challenges in healthcare. We are working to create an application platform that enables developers to build healthcare applications with world class accessibility, usability, and cross-platform support.

  Oracle Health is putting humans at the heart of the conversation and what the healthcare experience needs to look like – for patients, providers, payers, and the population. We will facilitate this by advancing the state of the art in healthcare and population level health, make it practical, effective, and real at practitioner level by connecting everything together. This will allow a patient to get point of care from anyone, anywhere or any device by providing the practitioner medical information leveraging global data.

  Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

  US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  11 paid holidays

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
