About Principal Product Manager Tech, IT Services, IT Services

  Description

  As the ITS Business Strategy & Planning leader, you will act as the chief of staff and product manager for the IT Services team, collaborating with the team to drive well-structured excellence and output. This position will work across the ITS teams (plus key customers, partners and stakeholders) to define the vision and drive deliverables related to increasing the value of ITS assets, developing ITS’s business model and determining growth strategies. You will develop the communication and engagement mechanisms for enabling our customers and partners a clear view into our monthly business reviews, product roadmaps, team dashboards and the multiple engagement mechanisms for leveraging ITS Products and Services. You will identify gaps in current processes across the team for engagement and communications and provide recommendations and solutions to be implemented to enable our organization to continuously improve. As part of the ITS leadership team, you will act as the primary owner of the organization’s operational plans.

  Key job responsibilities

  In this role, you will:

  Define IT Services strategic vision, own the long-term roadmap, and drive teams to execute on that vision

  Deeply understand ITS’s customers, their needs, the business landscape, product functionality (current and desired), and backend technologies (opportunities and limitations)

  Drive strategic communications (e.g. decision narratives, investment proposals) within Consumer, CDO and AWS

  Make the case for investment and demonstrate frugality by adeptly prioritizing the right initiatives to achieve the greatest impact with the least amount of resources

  Work with key stakeholders within our team and partner organizations to drive annual operational planning

  Define, track and analyze business metrics to identify systemic issues and inefficiencies across the organization. Innovate to drive solutions to improve these KPIs

  Own writing documents and updates related to various aspects of the business such as business reviews, goals, internal communications, and other org-wide topics as needed

  Monitor and strengthen our business policies, audit and improve our capacity for operating our business effectively.

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree

  Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  Experience technical product management

  Preferred Qualifications

  Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
