Join us as we take Microsoft Teams, the fastest growing business application in the history of Microsoft, to the next level. We are looking for a creative, self-starting, and visionary product leader to own & drive new collaboration experiences for Microsoft Teams.
A Principal Product Manager in this role will drive solutions to make Teams great at helping users collaborate and achieve outcomes together. You’ll join a team whose charter spans the breadth of the product across chats, channels, and meetings, connecting users and groups from 1:1 to organization wide. We enable users and groups to self-organize into collaboration units, manage their creation, growth and lifecycle, stay on top of all communication and collaboration across chats and channels, and declutter and focus on what’s important.

You will be responsible for defining the what and the why, create feature roadmap, partner with design and engineering to build delightful end-to-end experiences and ship features with high quality measuring impact and success at every step of the way to form data insights and learn continuously.
This role requires a mix of product thinking, technical depth, user-centric design, cross-team collaboration, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities
Understand business goals and user needs, collect requirements, and synthesize product plans to deliver maximum impact.
Engage with customers, Microsoft field, partners, and analysts to research and frame opportunities, and then incorporate feedback into your plans.
Work closely with designers to propose and deliver experiences that are coherent, polished, and modern.
Own your feature backlog with clarity, urgency, and accountability.
Actively drive and present product plans and reviews, demos, and competitive analyses with the team, partners, and executive leadership.
Partner with key internal and external partners to develop joint product plans, gather feedback, manage dependencies, and ensure customer success.
Track all defined deliverables from conception through launch, leveraging (and improving) established processes, tools, and communications mechanisms.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product or program management delivering end-user facing products.
OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Innate curiosity and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing startup environment.
Self-starter and innovator with a positive, collaborative can-do attitude and bias for action.
Customer-focused approach to design with solid understanding of user experience possibilities.
Demonstrated experience with product management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills with a track record of managing complex projects with many partners.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical.
Demonstrated experience analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
