Position Description:
Crafts and develops enterprise digital applications with MVC design pattern, micro front-end strategy, and open micro service architectures. Implements and deploys front-end frameworks and Open-Source stack and Web technologies - HTML/CSS, JavaScript or Typescript, Web components, Node.js, Vue.js, and Angular. Designs and implements Web applications. Guides the development of stable, robust, and resilient software applications. Builds digital Restful APIs. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Participates in architecture design teams.Defines and implements application-level architecture.Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.Advises senior management on technical strategy.Mentors junior team members.Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Front End Developer (or related occupation) developing fund information platforms.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Front End Developer (or related occupation) developing fund information platforms.

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") developing and designing fund information platforms according to Agile methodologies - SCRUM, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming -business requirements and architecture standards, using Java/J2EE, Angular, React, and JavaScript based frameworks; developing orchestration and high performant application components, using Kafka and Camunda; and identifying and providing solutions for performance bottlenecks, using Datadog, Splunk, and Dynatrace.DE developing responsive Web applications and reports using Angular, React, Node.js, and Power BI; and developing rich browser compatible UI applications, using HTML5 as a client-side technology, CSS3 for styling, and JavaScript or TypeScript to execute dynamic webpage contents.DE developing multi-threaded, mid-tier applications in distributed environments, using REST, JSON, and Swagger API; developing backend services on Oracle database, using SQL and PL/SQL; performing deployment operations using Continuous Integration (CI) tools - Jenkins and Maven; performing configuration management using GIT stash; and performing Test Driven Development (TDD), using Unit and JUnit testing techniques and SONAR.DE packaging applications using Docker container management platform; and deploying application packages on On-premise Cloud or external Cloud - Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
