  Job Description

  Come join us! As a member of the Global Business Finance team, the Principal Financial Analyst will provide finance support to the open source sales org. This includes Business Partnering, Management reporting and Analysis to enable decision-making and meet business goals. We empower our business partner to drive profitability, increase return on assets and maximize net income by transforming information and financial expertise into executable recommendations. We will accomplish this by providing timely, accurate and objective financial information, fiduciary oversight and decision support based on a fundamental understanding of the business model and in alignment with Oracle's values. The department participates and leads in various Global Business Finance initiatives focused on automation, standardization, and streamlining processes.

  Responsibilities

  Serve as the Finance Business Partner to the Global Sales Organization for Open Source Businesses (Java, Linux, My SQL).

  Be the finance liaison supporting Go to Market planning and quota setting process. Offer analytical insights to the process to drive margin growth.

  Responsible for all financial P&L modelling that supports Annual Budget, Forecast and other key initiatives. Perform business analysis and financial modeling to support decision making.

  End to end ownership of various finance deliverables including annual budget, forecast preparation and reporting, and various reviews and analyses.

  Collaborate cross functionally including with Accounting team, compensation planning and offshore India team to deliver on key tasks

  Drive transformation initiatives with a focus on automation and seek continuous process improvement.

  Supply constant and timely financial information to business partners on key business drivers including pipeline, bookings, revenue streams, efficiency and profitability, and HC.

  Drive the adoption of the latest Analytics tools.

  Support business leadership with presentations to upper management in quarterly operations reviews and state of business presentations.

  Participate in Quarter end activities and contribute to close process

  Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  Bachelor degree with 8+ years finance experience in supporting sales organizations in technology companies. MBA Preferred.

  Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills. Ability to analyze situations and make recommendation to solve new issues or improve process.

  Proven experience in using financial systems and advanced Excel skills to produce high quality financial reports.

  Result oriented. Ability to translate ideas into operational steps and follow through to closure.

  Takes initiative to achieve value added results and ability to track the progress of multiple inquires and tasks effectively.

  Ability to stay organized, prioritize objectives in a multifaceted and exciting environment.

  Able to translate Finance speak and concepts into Business speak.

  Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

  US: Hiring Range: from $87,000 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
