Responsible for ensuring databases are tuned for optimal performance. Provides on-call support responsibilities. Performs problem determination and resolution for database related problems. Ensures recoverability and adequate disaster recovery of databases. Supports development teams for enhancements, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Performs the physical generation and definition of databases. Participates on the logical design of databases. Provides project leadership for various database initiatives.

　　Required Qualifications

　　Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience 7 years of IT related experience such as program development and design, engineering and/or database administration 5 years of experience supporting Snowflake environment in the cloud. Understands table design concepts including specific Snowflake data types. Understands Snowflake database design elements including databases and schemas. Experience with Snowflake data protection mechanisms such as Time Travel and Failsafe. Experience with Snowflake connectivity options including Snowsight, SnowSQL, and Snowflake ODBC driver and the general use cases for each. Knowledge of data loading concepts including file formats, internal, and external stages and the copy command. Has strong SQL skills. Understands RBAC concepts including access and functional roles. Experience with Snowflake data cloning operations. Experience with Snowflake virtual warehouse concepts including sizing and clustering. Experience with Snowflake performance optimization techniques including Search Optimization and Clustering. Has advanced familiarity with Snowflake data protection mechanisms. Understands Snowflake High Availability concepts such as data replication and failover. Has advanced knowledge of performance optimization techniques. Understands and can design Resource Monitors and Snowflake health check dashboards. Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Attention to detail with the ability to produce reliable, effective solutions. Excellent communication skills. Possessing a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and energetic team environment. Familiar with sourcing on-prem data into the cloud. Must be flexible and able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner and provide after hour / weekend support. Must have a high degree of self-motivation, commitment, and integrity. Must demonstrate ability to work under minimal supervision.

　　7+ years of database administration experience. Continued education including additional analytical or business degrees. Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Gen1/Gen2, Data Lake Analytics.

　　Year End Bonus

　　As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
