The Role
As a Principal Data Analyst in Quantitative Research and Investment Technology, you will partner with multiple product owners to deliver large-scale, complex programs in iterations. The data analyst is responsible for delivering high quality data solutions that meet the product partner business requirements. This team needs an Asset Management data expert who is passionate about data and is comfortable working in a fast paced and highly ambiguous agile environment where there is a focus on timely delivery of high-quality data sets. This role requires building strong partnership with senior business and technology leaders across the Asset Management organization.

The Expertise We're Looking For
Being an Asset Management data domain expert who can provide data solutions and consult with senior level technology and business leadersDeep data domain understanding of security master, Prices, Returns, Index & Benchmark, Risk, Equity Fundamentals Examine and analyze existing IT systems and business and data models to identify requirements.Assist in defining project scope based on analysis of business requirements and existing systems.Articulate business problem/requirement/solution in technology terms and vice versa.Expertise in system analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, testing, and product documentation.Be an outstanding collaborator and focus on getting results for the squad and themselves.Strong experience with relational database technologies (preferably Oracle), Strong SQL, Performance tuning, batch, and ETLExperience of working within an Agile Scrum development environmentExperience of working with a distributed teamProven track record of product deliveryFinancial Services industry experienceUnderstanding of principles and standard methodologies around Data ArchitectureProgramming interfaces, microservice architectures and Data Architecture (Database design, performance optimization) knowledge is an added advantageExperience in Python programming and familiarity with core data science libraries is an added advantage

How Your Work Impacts the Organization
Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Operations functions. You will be part of Quantitative Research and Investment Technology working to deliver a world class Quantitative Research Platform (QRP) for QRI Investment Professionals.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$179,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
