Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Rochester, New York. This role falls within the air filter manufacturing industry and will be primarily office based. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will interact with various internal and external stakeholders, and be responsible for a range of tasks including invoice processing, vendor statement reconciliation, and handling related inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage the entry of invoices

• Reconcile vendor statements, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies

• Handle incoming Accounts Payable related calls, providing detail oriented assistance to customers and vendors

• Prepare check runs as required, adhering to the company's procedures and guidelines

• Manage the receipt of packing lists or invoices against purchase orders for entry into Accounts Payable

• Code invoices correctly to the appropriate account number

• Undertake special project work such as research or the preparation of Excel spreadsheets

• Maintain organized and accurate records, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines

• Effectively liaise with team members across different departments such as accounting and shipping

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel in daily tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Competency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions is necessary.

• Previous experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is a must.

• Familiarity with Check Processing is needed.

• Proven ability in Data Entry is required.

• Excellent Discrepancy resolution skills are expected.

• Understanding of Debit Credit transactions is essential.
