This third shiftposition maintains machinery and equipment used in fabricating metalparts and tools. Responsibilities Promotes Safety as the Number OnePriority of OMG employees. Confers with machine operators and groupleaders to coordinate assigned preventative maintenance activities.Keeps records on all machine PM results. Checks safety devices on allmachines. Recommends measures to improve production methods andequipment performance. Work unscheduled shifts and over time to insuremaintenance coverage and maximum production efficiency. Assists facilitymaintenance as required. Performs other tasks as assigned. RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports andcorrespondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in allunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent. Ability to applycommonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished inwritten, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involvingseveral concrete variables in standardized situations. Must possess avalid driver\'s License and certified to operate all assigned industriallifts. Knowledge of basic repairs, welding and cutting procedures,setting up and operating general machine shop equipment and correct useof machinist\'s measurement tools. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel,crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls,reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/ormove up to 50 pounds.
