　　We are looking for software engineers with 3+ years of experience who can analyze system level aspects of SoC power management. They will work with architects who drive architectures while viewing software as part of a larger system comprising both software and hardware. Experience in multicore SoCs, embedded platforms, SoC power management or any other real time projects will be preferred. Good communication skill is a big plus!

　　Qualcomm SoCs serve many product categories including smartphones, tablets, wearables, IoT, servers, and automotive (telemetry, IVI and ADAS). One challenge in this role is to drive commonality in the architecture across these diverse product categories.

　　Job function / Responsibilities

　　Work with engineers across a range of disciplines (e.g., hardware, software and systems) and technologies (e.g., advanced CPUs, Hexagon DSPs, Adreno GPUs, AR/VR, ML/AI, 5G modems, Wireless LAN, and GPS)

　　Participate in defining and communicating next generation architectures for Qualcomm SoCs with a focus on power, thermal and limits management.

　　Drive the process of converting the power, thermal and limits management architecture into a software design and software requirements for each SoC.

　　Work with software teams to provide guidance on the architecture and design, and to help resolve issues.

　　Design tools to identify and debug power consumption issues on development platforms and commercial devices.

　　Preferred skills/experience

　　3 +years of experience in software development for SoCs and platforms in wireless, automotive and/or IOT are preferred.

　　Strong analytical skills and the ability to approach problems at a system level.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

　　One or more of the following:

　　Device driver or board support package (BSP) knowledge or development experience

　　Experience with one or more RTOSes

　　Experience with designing SW for low power IoT devices

　　Understanding of ARM processor architectures

　　Experience in power, thermal and/or limits management at the system or device driver level

　　Experience with virtualization and hypervisors
