The Department ofNeurosurgery is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated postdoctoralfellow to join our research team focused on studying degenerativecervical myelopathy (DCM) on the translational research continuum. Thismulti-year position is supported by a funded research project todetermine if spinal cord microstructure and function can disambiguateclinic-radiologic data and improve prognostication of outcome aftersurgery for DCM. The successful candidate will work closely with amultidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians to investigaterelationships between advanced multi-parametric spinal cord magneticresonance imaging (MRI) and functional (motor, sensory, and balancefunction) correlates within a clinical population. This collaborativeproject will be guided by faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin(MCW) and the joint Biomedical Engineering Department at MCW andMarquette University. The ideal candidate should have a strongbackground in neuroscience, neurology, biomedical engineering,biophysics, or a related field with expertise in neuroimaging, MRimaging analysis, functional testing, statistical analysis, and apassion for translational research.
