rResponsibilities
rThe OcaasLab{target="_blank"rel="noopener"} is interested in understanding how biological sexcontributes to brain aging and Alzheimers disease. We are looking for ahighly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join themultidisciplinary Ocaas Laboratory within the Genes and Human Disease(GHD) Research Program at OMRF. The fellow will investigate how ovarianaging and altered endocrine signaling impacts neuroinflammation in thehippocampus. The successful candidate will employ a wide range oftechniques including the generation of novel mouse models, single-celltranscriptomics, epigenomics, flow cytometry, histology & pathologicalassessments, and a variety of other cellular & molecular biologytechniques. The candidate will present their data regularly inlaboratory meetings, local seminars and symposiums, and will haveopportunities to present their work at national conferences. Arequirement of the position is that the candidate must demonstrateethical behavior at all times, a high-level of scientific rigor, andmust be detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of ateam.
