As a Post-Doctoral Fellow, the incumbent will be a primary driver of fundamental independent research of novel therapeutic opportunities and technology, within the Discovery Research organization. Additionally, this role will be expected to present and publish research findings within internal and external scientific communities. Duties & Responsibilities
• Independently performs scientific experiments, but also utilizes broad and independent creative thinking with regards to achieving goals that can require developing new methodologies, protocols and/or test procedures.
• Maintains scientific excellence in area of protein biochemistry/ construct design and protein purification. Develops broad knowledge in field of expertise, including the ability to interpret current literature relevant to R&D projects.
• The main responsibility of this position is to implement traditional and novel experimental designs to express different antibodies, working with different cell lines (primary cell and recombinant cell lines). Demonstrated understanding and expertise in assay development and cell culture.
• Work with multi-disciplinary groups of experimentalists, including those involved in protein expression, purification, biophysical characterization, and drug development.
• Establish an international reputation in area of expertise with publication and conference participation; represent BIPI as a scientific leader in field of expertise at both internal and national/international conferences, meetings and organizations
• Comply all applicable regulations, performing all work in a safe manner; maintain proper records in accordance with SOP’s and policies.
• Contribute towards mentoring colleagues

Requirements
• Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology related discipline with no more than three (3) years of Post-Doctoral experience.
• Familiarity with different cell culture, construct design, protein purification and assay development.
• Strategic research planning ability and excellent written and oral presentation skills
• Familiarity with current topics in AI/ML including different kinds of generative models
• In-depth knowledge in area of scientific expertise.
• Ability to think and plan strategically as well as tactically.
• Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation in driving cutting-edge research with a strong publication record.
• Extensive experience in area of scientific expertise.
• Ability to think and plan strategically as well as tactically.
• Experience in data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with lab automation is a plus.
• Ability to independently conduct a research project and effectively communicate the results.
• Ability to optimize and develop assays/techniques, as well as leverage new technology opportunities to address scientific questions effectively.
• Critical and creative thinker, self-motivated to innovate and organize.
• Exceptional writing, presenting, and communicating skills.
• Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation in driving cutting-edge research with a strong publication record.

Must be 18 years of age or older.
