DUTIES: Assist Portfolio managers with market research and ad-hoc analysis related to the investment portfolio and its performance, assets classes or the investment outlook. Conduct monitoring activities of RLUS investments or market developments in general and participate in meetings with key external market participants. Assist and develop high quality monthly/quarterly reports by compiling relevant information, synthesizing key actionable insights, and delivering impactful presentations for formal and informal presentations to stakeholders. Work with the Portfolio Managers to implement new asset class investments in the portfolio, considering both investment and operational aspects of a proposed mandate. Assist Requests for Proposal (RFP) processes in order to properly and completely due diligence investment manager offerings and make a recommendation based on the outcome of the process. Prepare due diligence reports and present proposals to various RLUS Committees. Research investment strategies and follow new developments related to RLUS Investment Team’s Objectives and Key Results. Assist the broader Investment Team in other areas including Investment Strategy and Risk and Investment Operations. Provide input to the team’s discussions on an ongoing basis with regards to potential opportunities or developing risks in the markets based on individual research. Help prepare key materials and analysis for RLUS business units and subsidiaries and coordinate the preparation of committee materials. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously improve data analysis best practices, solutions, and measures.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or closely related field. Two years of experience in a role involving investments or financial planning. Advanced knowledge (via work experience or coursework) of: Microsoft applications including Excel and PowerPoint; VBA; Power BI; R modelling; and SQL. Some telecommuting permitted: 2 days at the office, 3 days remote.
