Review federal and state regulations and administrative policies that impact sexual violence survivors and develop coalition-wide recommendations for policies, protocols and guidance to support survivors, Alliance membership, and community partnersCoordinate The Alliances efforts to develop, guide and strengthen priority policy areas including improving systems and individual responses to sexual violence, increasing and maintaining the rights of survivors, and ensuring all survivors in Connecticut have access to justice, healing and supportAssist the Executive Director and the Alliances contract lobbyist in developing legislative and administrative policy recommendations, identifying priority issues, and setting annual policy agendaMaintain relationships with the offices of Connecticuts US Representatives and SenatorsEnsure ongoing communication with The Alliances membership regarding policy positions and create mechanisms to ensure maximum membership involvement in The Alliances policy agendaWork with the Executive Director and the Alliance team to develop and implement annual communications plan that supports print, online and ad-hoc organizational communicationsBuild support for Alliance initiatives among community stakeholders, state lawmakers and state officialsRepresent The Alliance on state committees, task forces and coalitions, and provide training and presentations about Alliance initiatives as neededPerform other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Director[Supervisory Responsibilities:]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}

Masters in related field and at least 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience[Qualifications:]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}
Successful experience in public speaking and media relationsDemonstrated experience in issue-based campaigns, public policy advocacy or lobbyingDemonstrated experience working with victims of crime, trauma survivors or other communities impacted by violenceExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent analytical skillsAbility to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with diverse and active groupsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to accurately update and maintain recordsValid drivers license and vehicle required[Work Environment:[This job operates in a professional office environment.
