PRODUCTION FABRICATION / PLASTIC WELDER
FUNCTION:
Under the direction of Department Lead, this Fabrication / PlasticWelder position is a hands-on role aligned with all the productiondepartments [Machining, Fabrication, Cleanroom, Coiling] to learn anddevelop the skills necessary to support the production process of purityplastic formation and project completion. Trainee will learn and applyusage and techniques of various coiling, machine shop, fabrication handtools and technology advanced systems. The Trainee will learn and applythe fundamentals of measurements, blueprint reading, drawings, machineprogramming, quality and safety as determined by department. Thedevelopment and skills learned will provide the trainee with theopportunity to grow their talent to a niche skill allowing for rotation,growth and development within FUSIONHPX.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply manual craft work from materials provided using a variety ofshop tools and technical systems to complete with precision,accuracy, and defined measurements of clients designed products.Apply ensuring all material worked on meet or exceed the quality andstandards of FUSIONHPX purity craftsmanship requirements withattention to detail in all work performed.Apply a continuous improvement mind-set to ensure job orders,transfer-job traveler documents are clearly defined to accuratelyperform work.Will interacting and collaborate with teammates [from supportingdepartments (engineering, supply chain, etc.)] the process ofraising issues and concerns arising from design, material, tools,and technical systems.Apply a questioning and performance attitude in ensuring highestquality of work has been performed before handing off completed workto next step in the process, i.e. deburring to fabrication; Coilingto heat transfer.Will always maintain a clean working area to always ensure safetyprotocols and keeps tools sharpen and in calibrated status. Reportimmediately defective unsafe tools, equipment and machinery;Sharpen or replace dull blades.Maintains a flexible learning attitude and willingness to supportand assist others in a professional and courteous manner.Performs other duties as required.KEY STRENGTHS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
GED or HS DiplomaTrade school completion in precision technology or manufacturingcoursework highly preferred5 plus years experiencein PLASTIC WELDING work experience required.Working knowledge of measurements, blueprint reading, quality, toolsand math skills a plus.
