  Your role at Clorox:

  The Sanitation Manager at the Wheeling, IL facility oversees sanitation, GMP, and microbiological aspects for the Food BU. Part of the Plant Operations team, they establish and enhance policies for robust cleaning and sanitation programs, ensuring quality and safety. Providing support to prevent contamination, the role interfaces across all plant levels, applying standard quality and troubleshooting principles. The Sanitation Manager coordinates various disciplines to solve problems, offering training in specialized areas and communicating technical information effectively, both orally and in writing.

  In this role, you will:

  Key Responsibilities

  Efficiently manage plant sanitation procedures, drawing on internal and external experts.

  Standardize practices for stable conditions and FDA compliance, overseeing audits and the sanitation team.

  Provide strategic leadership for site sanitation roles.

  Identify and plan for team development and compliance.

  Identify and resolve gaps in sanitation systems, tools, and processes.

  Serve as SME for key processes, ensuring effective management.

  Ensure plant personnel are trained in sanitation methods.

  Approve cleaning and sanitation for new equipment, products & processes.

  Provide vision for plant and quality milestones.

  Identify leverage points for sanitation improvements.

  Lead processes to improve sanitation, establishing credibility with the management team.

  What we look for:

  Skills

  5+ of experience in FDA-regulated industries (Cosmetics, Food, or Beverage), with a focus on Quality and/or Sanitation, encompassing direct involvement in manufacturing, operations, sanitation, and product testing.

  8+ years of experience in managerial roles, demonstrating effective leadership and oversight.

  Proficient in cGMPs, FDA regulations, microbiology, and analytical testing.

  Well-versed in government regulatory documentation for Food Manufacturing.

  Extensive expertise in sanitation within FDA-regulated plants.

  Specialized knowledge in microbiology and pathogen environmental monitoring.

  Familiarity with sanitation practices and procedures specific to Food Manufacturing plants.

  In-depth understanding of analytical testing requirements and preferred methodologies.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

  –Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900

  –Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400

  –Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

  This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
