About Plant Mechanical Engineer

Manpower Engineering is seeking a Plant Mechanical Engineer for our client in the Owensboro, KY area. This is a direct hire position with full benefit package, annual bonus and outstanding relocation package! Let's talk!

Overview of job duties:

Will be on the plant floor about 50% of the time, troubleshooting day-to-day issues and working with the crafts. Other 50% time in office.

• Will work with the project engineering group to manage CapEx projects, equipment installation, upgrades, expansions.

• Will conduct process improvement projects

Here’s a summary of who we’re seeking:

BS Mechanical engineering degree (or BSMET) required with experience in an industrial setting

Someone who is comfortable being on the plant floor (about ½ the time)

Ability to communicate well with all levels, from Technicians and Crafts to upper management

Some experience running capital projects, with ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.

Someone with some reliability background, experience with process improvement projects, ability to plan and schedule.

Should be well organized and a self-starter not needing “hand holding”.

Some AutoCAD experience to be able to layout equipment, update drawings, etc.

Any Oracle and/or MS Project experience is helpful (will train).
