　　Responsibilities

　　General Purpose of the job:

　　Works with Journeyman and others in the installation and maintenance of plant equipment and other work as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following Other duties may be assigned.

　　1) Operates and observes the operation of conveying equipment, coal breakers, and reciprocating loaders.

　　2) Assists with the loading and unloading of coal in the coal handling system.

　　3) Reads a weightometer.

　　4) Keeps area around conveyors clean as assigned.

　　Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

　　Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.

　　Requirements

　　High school diploma or proof of equivalent GED.

　　Prior experience with hand tools and small power tools.

　　Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, or greater.

　　Must Pass a physical exam, upon request.

Typically uses hand tools such as brooms, shovels, hand carts, maintenance tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, jack hammers, etc. Operates forklifts and pickup trucks. If working outside the Plant worker may stand or walk up to 80% of the day. If assigned inside the Plant may walk 50% of day. Surfaces are variable, uneven ground, paved, grating, concrete or mud.
