Description
Robert Half is currently in search of an experienced and results-driven Senior Plant Controller to take charge of the financial operations within the manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be pivotal in ensuring precise cost analysis, financial reporting, and strategic financial decision-making. This role is based in York, PA and will work onsite.
Key Responsibilities of the Plant Controller may include:
Assume leadership in managing the financial functions of the manufacturing plant, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
Conduct regular in-depth financial analyses to track costs, identify opportunities for improvement, and enhance operational efficiency.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports, encompassing budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and key performance metrics, aiding decision-making across operational and executive levels.
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and process enhancements while upholding quality standards.
Spearhead the annual budgeting process, offering insights and recommendations to elevate financial performance.
Oversee inventory levels, cost accounting, and production expenses to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Analyze financial data to support capital investment decisions and lead ROI evaluations for potential projects.
Uphold robust internal controls and compliance standards, ensuring the precision and integrity of financial information.
Provide mentorship and support to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA, CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on cost accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
Solid grasp of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.
Ability to work independently in a high volume, fast-paced environment
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
