We are currently seeking a Planner 1 to join our team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: The Planner 1 typically completes projects and designs involving load growth and infrastructure replacement projects for distribution facilities. The Planner I will collect data from digital records or field inspections; applying Company, Industry, and regulatory standards and specifications to plan the construction, relocation, installation and/or maintenance of facilities and equipment associated with overhead electrical distribution and/or underground electric distribution systems. The Planner I will utilize AutoCAD and/or AUD in coordination with the drafting team, Planner 2’s and Planner 3’s to effectively plan placement and operation of electrical lines and associated equipment to meet or exceed specific electrical design needs
The Planner 1 should demonstrate the ability to:
Use graphs, solve math problems, and draw/interpret diagrams and maps
Use Word, Excel, and Outlook effectively
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Manage time effectively
Resolve issues and adapt quickly
Simultaneously manage several projects
Accurately inventory structures in the field (Pole Loading)
Use SPIDACALC and any other software needed to plan or complete projects
Demonstrate creative problem solving
Typical weekly responsibilities will include:

Attendance Requirements are: Monday-Friday (40 hours a week)
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to write, read and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.
Must be able to communicate with others.
Must have sufficient eyesight to judge distances and coordinates.
Must have reliable means of transportation to commute to the work location.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Records Check (MVR).
Must have a valid driver’s license.
The Planner 1 is subject to a probationary period during which time the Planner 1 will receive training in various tasks necessary to successful planning.
Upon successful completion of the probationary period the Planner 1 will work with Planner 2 or Planner 3 to complete various projects and receive training on completing entire projects from start to finish. May also receive training in other areas of Planning.
