　　Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant - LPTA PRN

　　Our Home Health Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) are the heart of our organization! In this role, you will support your patients by providing direct care and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that both patients and their families have an optimal care experience. 　　Responsibilities

　　Provide direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care

　　Direct and aid patient in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training

　　Utilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage

　　Instruct in use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices

　　Observe and report to the physical therapist the patient’s reaction to treatment and any changes in condition

　　Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements

　　Additional responsibilities as assigned

　　Qualifications

　　Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the CAPTE with current licensure to practice in state of operation

　　1+ year PTA experience

　　Home health experience preferred

　　Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
