We strive tocreate a workplace where your skills and talents are nurtured to allowyou to grow within the com As a Physical Therapist, you providepatient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment andconsultation to a general rehab caseload while also participating in theclinical team process. You also provide teaching and training tocaregiver staff and supervise other therapists, assistants, aides andstudents as required. Education Experience: Bachelor of ScienceDegree, Master of Science or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.Appropriate licensing requirements by individual states must bemaintained. Two (2) years of clinical experience preferred. Duties Responsibilities: Screens patients/residents. Evaluatespatients/residents and develops appropriate care plans. May performadditional assigned administrative duties like: assigning and overseeingresident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring executionof physician orders, ordering supplies, etc. Under a physician?s order,provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an establishedplan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised and group.Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as definedby the program. Consults with and trains patients, residents andcaregivers. Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaborationwith supervisor. Documents activities according to the company?sclinical documentation system on a timely basis. Demonstrates consistentknowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursementregulations. Communicates effectively with patients, residents, teammembers, customer and supervisor. Provides appropriate consultation tothe facility. Participates in clinical program development andimplementation. Participates in the training and orientation of otherstaff, students and volunteers. Participates in the interview processfor new staff. Participates in census building and marketing activities.Participates in quality improvement activities. Responsible for serviceand operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure thedelivery of quality services and/or outcomes required to meet or exceedthe expectations of those utilizing or impacted by the department.Complies with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures andprotects residents? individual health information. Exhibits courtesy,compassion and respect to patients, residents, families, caregivers,visitors, physicians, administrators and co-workers. SpecificRequirements: Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systemsand to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.Strong oral and written communication skills.
