Job Description: PHP/Laravel Developer (Contract)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid Schedule)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Compensation: $50 to $55 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented PHP/Laravel Developer for a long-term contract opportunity. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of back-end development, a passion for coding, and the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment based in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP and Laravel.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Design and implement APIs and ensure seamless integration with front-end components.

Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.

Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in PHP and Laravel development.

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Requirements

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in PHP development with a focus on the Laravel framework.

Strong understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming.

Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.

Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Knowledge of RESTful API development and third-party API integrations.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
