About the Role
The Continuous Improvement Intern will focus on specific process improvement projects that directly support the 2023 Magna Strategy and Goals.
Your Responsibilities
Scope of Projects:
• Conduct time studies to support Standard Work/Line Balance chart updates
• Analyze and support the launch of new mold warehouse
• Support Kaizen and VA/VE activities
• Support AMR implementation
• Support water spider route implementation
• Help determine top 5 energy projects to target 2024/2025
Who we are looking for
Experience and General Skills Required:
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint and Word
• Knowledge of lean tools (VSM, 5S, 8 deadly wastes, A3)
Your preferred qualifications
Education Requirements:
• The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical or Manufacturing
• Candidates should be entering their junior or senior year, or enrolled in a graduate program.
Internship Details & Schedule: This is a paid onsite internship to be completed over the summer of 2023. The timetable of this internship is flexible, depending upon candidate needs. Candidates that are seeking full-time employment upon graduation are encouraged to apply.
