Description

　　Position Summary

　　Draws blood.

　　Essential Functions

　　Collects blood specimens by arterial puncture, venipuncture, and capillary microcollection techniques from both in‑ and outpatients.

　　Performs as courier as needed.

　　Performs limited clerical and receptionist functions as needed.

　　Trains nurses, ambulance personnel, others to draw blood.

　　Agrees to comply with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct relating to the position and has a duty to report any suspected violations of the law or the standards of conduct to his or her immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Chief Executive Officer.

　　Qualifications

　　Valid PA drivers' license. Good interpersonal skills needed due many patients' fear of phlebotomy. Skill in phlebotomy needed but can be taught OJT.

　　Working Conditions

　　Possible exposure to infectious body fluids. Much standing and bending.
