　　Position Summary

　　The pharmacy technician supports the pharmacist in assisting patients, participating in the filling and dispensing of prescriptions, collecting required information from patients and performing cash register transactions.

　　Required Qualifications

　　• High School diploma or GED equivalent certification.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　• Associates Degree preferred

　　• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician preferred

　　• Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred

　　• Valid driver’s license preferred

　　Physical Demands

　　While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee should have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
