We are seeking a highly skilled and mission-critical Senior Active Directory Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role requires expertise in PowerShell scripting, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining stability and security within our enterprise-level environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in optimizing, maintaining, and securing our Directory Services infrastructure while ensuring the highest levels of functionality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize advanced PowerShell scripting to automate the deployment and maintenance of Active Directory environments, ensuring efficiency and reliability in our operations.
Optimize and maintain Directory Services infrastructure and hierarchy at an enterprise level, ensuring mission-critical services are operational across multiple enclaves.
Implement and enforce Group Policy to harden resources within the environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
Monitor and troubleshoot Group Policy processing issues, proactively identifying and resolving potential disruptions to system functionality.
Maintain DNS services at the enterprise level, including verification of functionality and troubleshooting of issues as they arise.
Implement split-brain DNS for multi-homed enterprise resources, ensuring seamless connectivity and reliability.
Design and maintain AD Federated Services and technologies, facilitating secure authentication and access across distributed environments.
Ensure the health and reliability of existing AD Certificate Services technologies, implementing best practices for certificate management and authentication.
Design and implement multifactor authentication solutions within Active Directory environments, enhancing security and access control measures.
Author and maintain PowerShell scripts for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Active Directory components, streamlining operational tasks and ensuring consistency across environments.
Analyze and propose improvements to current Active Directory delegation models, transitioning towards a zero-trust-based delegation approach for enhanced security.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and on-premises vendor support to analyze and remediate issues identified within Active Directory technologies, ensuring continuous improvement and reliability.
Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph (or willingness to obtain CI Polygraph).
Bachelor's degree in system administration, information technology, computer science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing, managing, administering, troubleshooting, and supporting Active Directory components in enterprise-level environments.
Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and maintenance tasks within Active Directory environments.
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory 2016, 2019, 2022, and the latest versions.
Experience with DISA STIGs implementation and compliance.
Strong understanding of DNS services, including split-brain DNS configurations.
Familiarity with AD Federated Services and multifactor authentication design and implementation.
Experience with C# and .NET programming for manipulation of AD resources (preferred).
Proficiency in maintaining code repositories for change management purposes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
