Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Contracts Counsel in Chester, Connecticut. This role is pivotal in our organization as it involves a high level of contract and finance negotiation. The industry in which we operate is broad and does not require a background in construction, but rather a solid grounding in business and finance law.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret, analyze and negotiate standstill agreements, ensuring the best possible outcome for the organization

• Participate actively in the review of millions of dollars of contracts work, ensuring all legal and financial aspects are considered

• Provide expert advice on Mergers Acquisitions (M A) processes and procedures

• Oversee the eventual merging of standstill agreements under a new parent company

• Utilize Case Management Software and Adobe Acrobat for efficient document management and organization

• Handle complaints and claim administration effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction

• Apply knowledge of civil litigation and conveyancer procedures when necessary

• Use 3M technology for effective communication and collaboration within the team

• Engage in commercial negotiations, applying a strategic approach to achieve favorable outcomes

• Brief the team on key legal updates, changes, and issues that may impact the organization's operations. Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role as a Contracts Counsel

• Must have experience in Mergers Acquisitions (M A)

• The ability to handle Commercial Negotiations effectively is required
