　　Position Summary:

　　Assists pharmacists in the day to day operation of various medication distribution programs and supportactivities which are necessary to the provision of institutional pharmacy services.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Makes regular pick-up/delivery rounds to nursing units and other departments as per policyFills medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacistPrepares and delivers IV admixtures under the supervision of a pharmacistFills order for controlled substancesMaintains floor stock as assignedPrepacks medication in unit dose containers under the supervision of a pharmacistAssists with patient charging, ordering and inventoryAssists with Quality Assurance and Drug Use Evaluation activitiesAssists pharmacists with other duties

　　Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent - RequiredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

　　Required Licenses[West Virginia, United States] OtherWV State licensed Pharmacy Technician. If not licensed, employee must obtain WV State Pharmacy TechnicianTrainee license prior to hire and complete our 500 hour on-the-job training program. Trainee must WV StatePharmacy Technician license within 90 days of completing the program.PTCB certification preferred.

　　Minimum Work ExperiencePrevious experience in pharmacy or another medically related field preferred. Demonstrated willingness toperform routine repetitive tasks on a continuous basis and maintain a neat and orderly work area.Automation experience preferred.PharmacyTech II - Must be employed at RGH as a full-time Pharmacy Tech for 30 days. Complete "Essentials ofQuality Improvement" in Life Talent.
