Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is an 886-bed non-profit, acute, quaternary, teaching Level I Trauma Center hospital located in the heart of Los Angeles, California. The Department of Pharmacy has over approximately 450 staff members who provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services as well as outpatient services via 2 cancer centers and 3 outpatient pharmacies. We are committed to the education and training of pharmacists, students/interns, residents, technicians, and other health care professionals. We are affiliated with several Schools of Pharmacy and offers PGY1 and PGY2 residency programs. The residency and student experiential programs at CSMC continue to grow with every successive year, where nearly 100 residents have graduated from the PGY1 pharmacy residency program since 1985 and more than 200 student rotations are offered at CSMC annually. Recently, CSMC was recognized and bestowed “Site of the Year” awards by two major affiliated CA Schools of Pharmacy for providing an exceptional experiential learning environment for their students.
The Ambulatory Pharmacy Manager at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is responsible for retail pharmacy operations, ambulatory clinic pharmacy services, human resources management, new program development and performance improvement. The manager serves as a member of the pharmacy leadership team and collaborates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of services for the Pharmacy Enterprise. Specific responsibilities include:
Serving as Pharmacist-In-Charge for an outpatient pharmacy providing “Meds- To-Beds” and sterile compounding services,
Hiring and supervision of approximately 7 pharmacists and 12 technicians FTEs
Performance reviews for staff
Management of quality, safety and financial indicators
Management of outpatient pharmacy automation
Participation in medical center and medical staff committees and initiatives and implementation, regulatory compliance as well as, quality improvement
Precepting pharmacy residents and students
Fostering teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
Ensuring consistency and quality of clinical services and compliance with regulatory requirements related to controlled substances, 340 program, and sterile compounding
Serves as Administrator on Call on a rotating basis
Responsible for staffing in area on a routine basis (up to 20%)
Exemplary written and verbal skills as well as a strong commitment to patient care are required.
Ok to work from home 1x day a week after probation.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent from an accredited school of pharmacy in the US requiredLicenses:
Current California pharmacist licensureWhat else are we looking for?
Minimum 2 Years pharmacy experience or PGY-1/2 residency
Highly prefer outpatient pharmacy experience
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing; walking, bending; reaching, occasional sitting, pushing & pulling, lifting of materials up to 40 pounds for distances to 10 feet.
Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices including: telephones, beepers, fire alarms, and mechanical failure alarms.
Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients and other customers.
Able to read information on medication labels.
