PG Training Consultant
We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a PG Training Consultant in our Oak Creek, Wisconsin location.
Job Summary
The PG Training Consultant will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs to the Power Generation business unit. The PG Training Consultant will also manage training course content. The PG Training Consultant will work closely with the management team to identify training needs, create training plans and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
The PG Training Consultant position is part of the PG Training Consultant Job Family comprised of (PG Associate Training Consultant, PG Training Consultant, PG Senior Training Consultant, and PG Principal Training Consultant). Where education and experience will be the determining factor.
Job Responsibilities
Design
Design and develop training content that meet the needs of the organization. Conduct research and analyze data to identify needs and gaps in current training courses. Evaluate the effectiveness of training content and recommended improvements to ensure learning objectives are met. Create training materials, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks and visual aids. Collaborate with external business partners when necessary
Deliver
Deliver training content to employees at all levels of the organization, both in-person and virtual. Coordinate training sessions, including locations and schedule. Partner with stakeholders to reinforce training concepts and skills
Manage
Collaborate with the management team to assess and identify training needs. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendation for improvements. Develop metrics to measure the impact of training on business outcomes. Manage multiple training projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Provide regular progress reports to management on training projects
Other
Manage positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring they receive exceptional customer service and support. Stay up-to-date with the latest training techniques and technologies. Perform and lead activities contributing to the integration of software solutions, business workflows, and training programs to propel WEC Energy Group to a cleaner energy future.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, organizational development, human resources, psychology, business administration); In lieu of a degree, a minimum of ten years’ experience in adult training programs or plant training experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in a consulting, corporate or power plant environment
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Excellent knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design and training delivery techniques
Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think creatively
Ability to work independently and lead multiple project simultaneously
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven track record of developing and managing high-performance teams
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organization
Expert in Microsoft Office Suite and training software tools
Excellent project and change management skills
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
