The Perioperative Assistant is responsible for assisting the nurse in providing care to the geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and infant patients during the perioperative phase of their hospitalization Job Details Responsibilities: Responsibilities: The peri-operative assistant in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) will assist the professional staff and work together with other ancillary staff, to facilitate the safe transfer in and out of the peri-operative area as well as assist with all post-operative needs of patients in order to provide comfort care. Responsible to assure all necessary supplies are stocked and available for patients upon arrival from the operating room to the PACU. Assure all necessary equipment is in good working order to safely care for patients. Requirements: · High School Diploma or equivalent · Previous hospital experience · Must be physically able to lift and transfer Patients/equipment · BLS or CPR/AED training required Salary Range USD $23.95 - USD $29.05 /Hr.
