Overview
Under general direction this role supports internal organizational effectiveness initiatives within NASCO surrounding process improvement, organizational transformation, and operational transformation as prioritized by Senior Leadership. This role draws on a breadth of experience in project management, business analysis, and process improvement to help identify solutions to streamline organization-wide processes and procedures. This entails participating in company-wide projects, programs, and initiatives, gaining buy-in from key stakeholders throughout the organization to drive change, developing process flows, and assisting with training plans. This position communicates with the Executive Director, Process Improvement regarding work and assignments, as well as associates throughout the organization regarding change, process improvement, and process adherence.
Responsibilities
Develops and maintains understanding of various business processes and functions within the NASCO organization in order to design and build components of business solutions.
Develops and maintains organizational standards (processes and procedures) regarding the use of enterprise portfolio, project, resource and change management tools to facilitate consistency and efficiency throughout the organization.
Performs tasks or deliverables from multiple disciplines (i.e., Project Management, Business Analysis, Requirements Management, etc.) and builds subject matter expertise and credibility in order to support specific standardization initiatives.
Analyzes the needs/requirements of various stakeholder groups in order to design and develop comprehensive solutions for business problems or targeted improvement opportunities.
Assesses change effort and provides input to the scope, schedule, milestones, and deliverables associated with the targeted adoption of the change.
Assists in developing standard messaging associated with change management activities.
Facilitates conversations with stakeholder areas to ensure integration of change within existing processes and procedures.
Supports team and process owners in the operational deployment of organizational change.
Executes and/or manages governance and measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes,
Gathers requirements from process owners when resistance and performance gaps are identified.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:
Ability to work collaboratively or independently as the situation warrants
Knowledge of Project Management Methodology
Knowledge of gathering business requirements
Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodology
Knowledge of Visio to document process flows.
Knowledge of tools in support of Time Reporting, Portfoliio Management, Project Management, Customer Service Request and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong reasoning skills, both inductive and deductive, to propose logical and sound solutions to business problems.
Ability to build trust, build partnerships, and gain buy-in for adoption of organizational change
Ability to ask critical questions to conduct root cause analysis
Systems thinking skills
Solid communication skills, both written and oral.
At least 7 years of experience in project management
At least 7 years of experience gathering requirements and conducting business analysis
Proven experience deploying process improvement changes and successful change management skills
Proven experience in managing departmental or organizational performance improvement initiatives
Required Training and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent work experienceDesired Training and Education:
