About PEO Health & Benefits Analyst II

  Overview

  * This is an in the office position, at the following locations:

  Nashville, TN

  Phoenix, AZ

  Tempe, AZ

  Utilizes analytical and planning skills to represent the business unit on large-scale corporate projects. Works to develop and implement process enhancements of a larger scope.

  Responsibilities

  Provides leadership to various groups and represents business units in significant project initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis and technical requirements gathering.

  Assists with writing complex HRIS queries and other analysis tools to support the business unit.

  Performs root cause analysis of system issues or processing breakdowns and initiates corrective action, including preventative controls.

  Represents the department on teams and projects and performs cost-benefit analysis and requirements gathering to ensure that departmental needs are met and that actions of the team are aligned with departmental goals.

  Writes system work requests and procedures accordingly to ensure end user needs are met.

  Customizes Microsoft Office applications by utilizing tools such as Visual Basic or macros to simplify complex processes.

  Utilizes advanced technical knowledge and experience and independent decision-making ability to resolve complex issues. May coordinate with other Analysts to resolve the issue or provide information to Support or Development.

  Establishes relationships with high-impact agencies or vendors to support PEO products or services.

  Acts as a mentor for new Analysts and serves as a resource on joint projects by offering guidance and feedback.

  Prepares and communicates high-impact issues on behalf of the Management team in a timely manner to the appropriate audience to ensure timely and accurate communication.

  Maintains individual business plans that supports overall business goals of PEO, including technical development, increased product offering knowledge, and enhancing entrepreneurial skills.

  Provides direction and training to PEO staff members relating to Project User Acceptance test plans, Microsoft Office Applications, Project implementation, or other materials as assigned.

  Communicates important/sensitive issues in an effective and timely manner to appropriate audience to ensure issues are resolved.

  Gathers data, runs reports and performs analysis to include statistical data for departmental budget (P&L), email and phone queues.

  Qualifications

  Associate's Degree - Preferred

  Experience successfully managing projects.

  1 year of experience in PEO or closely related Paychex department as an Analyst I.

  Relevant Insurance License This role requires you to be eligible for applicable insurance licensing in all 50 states, which may involve an enhanced background check. If you are not currently licensed, you will be required to obtain the necessary insurance license(s) within 90 calendar days of your official start date. Failure to obtain the required license(s) within 90 days of your start date and to maintain eligibility throughout the duration of your employment may result in corrective action, up to and including termination of employment. Paychex Insurance Agency, Inc. (PIA) will cover the cost of up to two (2) attempts to pass a state insurance licensing exam including exam materials and testing fee. The cost of any additional attempts will be at the expense of the individual employee. If an individual is hired by PIA with an active and current license(s), that employee will be responsible for the timely updating and/or verifying of any changes that may have occurred with their state license(s) prior to their start date at PIA. This includes any state of residence changes, e-mail changes, mailing address changes or name changes. - Required

  Compensation

  In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $58,922.33 - $92,592.23 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
