About Pediatric Team Coordinator

  ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate services for patients and families who need procedure(s) done within the Cancer and Blood disorders center to ensure that each customer encounter is positive, professional and efficient. Duties include: clinic appointment scheduling (i. e. new, return, pre-op, post-op, PASS), diagnostic test scheduling, procedure scheduling under anesthesia, coordinating across services and with interpreters. Complete necessary steps for approval processes (i. e. insurance authorization, legal guardianship). Fulfill OR block requirements to ensure maximum utilization. Additional duties will include just in time needs from families in alignment with organization standards. Will partner and align with Cancer, Hematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Immunology, and Infusion services.RequirementsRequired Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent experience.Knowledge of Medical terminology.Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Family Service Coordinator or equivalent clinical scheduling, reception/coordinator experience.Required Credentials:N/A.Preferred:Experience in Hematology/Oncology, familiarity with clinical terminology.Associate's Degree or at least two (2) years of college coursework in health care or related field.Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment.Min to Max Hourly Salary$23.47 - $35.21 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary$48,817.60 - $73,236.80 /yrSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
