About Pediatric Critical Care Clinician Educator

We offer broad-based training in general pediatrics, critical care and pediatric subspecialties within a variety of ambulatory, inpatient and community settings. Integrated with our educational activities, these programs provide hands-on learning to equip our graduates with the skills they'll need as future advocates of children's health.

  The Division of Critical Care in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine/Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is recruiting for six (6) Clinician Educator positions as a Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor for a position with clinical time split between Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, CA and one of two offsite locations (candidate dependent). Our two offsite, community-hospital based Pediatric Intensive Care Units are located at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, CA and John Muir Health in Walnut Creek, CA. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

  Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

  Your responsibilities will include:

  Providing direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

  Contributing to teaching, research, and administrative duties based on candidate interest.

  To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  An MD/DO degree and Board Certification in Pediatrics, and either Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and a California Medical License by the time of hire.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement

  The expected base pay range for this position is:

  Clinical Assistant Professor: $274,000 - $292,000

  Clinical Associate Professor: $315,000 - $333,000

  Clinical Professor : $360,000 - $390,000

  This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.   Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position.
