　　Responsibilities

　　Location: The Patient Care Assistant will be hired to work at either the Saint Marys Hospital or Rochester Methodist Hospital Campus.

　　The Patient Care Assistant assists patient care unit staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel.

　　Please note: As part of the selection process, you will participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. You will be sent an email with a link to our HireVue OnDemand system and there will be questions that you will be asked to record answers for. Once selected, candidates will be given a deadline to complete the Hirevue interview.

　　Qualifications

　　Must be 18 years old.

　　Additional Qualifications :

　　Completion of 12 college credits -OR- High school diploma/ GED with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred. Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

　　License or Certification :

　　If a candidate does not currently have their Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross the Basic Life Support, certification will be included as part of the orientation program. Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross
